• Members attend all of our monthly cultural events for free! RSVP is required, but there will be no charge for a member to register for our family events. Members will be able to register one to two weeks before the general public for our limited-seating events like cooking classes, our monthly Kayoubikai, and our Annual Dinner.

• Pre-departure orientation

•  Will you be traveling to Japan for the first time, or need to brush up on your Japanese etiquette? We'll be happy to answer questions for you and your group and give an introduction to basic Japanese customs and travel. 

• Complimentary copies of our Alabama Guide 

•  Our comprehensive Japanese guide to Alabama includes information about Japanese companies, Alabama history, local landmarks and tourist attractions, lists of Japanese restaurants and Asian markets, contacts for Japanese Saturday Schools, and more! We will be releasing a new copy of the Alabama Guide in Winter 2019, so stay tuned for more information! 
•  Priority registration and listing for JASA opportunities
•  If you'd like to be considered as a host family for a Japanese student, registered as a translator or language tutor, or volunteer for one of our larger events like the Cherry Blossom Festival, you'll have priority as a JASA member!
