Application Deadline: December 20, 2024, by 5:00 PM

Are you interested in Japanese culture or curious about how a non-profit organization operates? Perhaps you're studying Japanese, International Relations, or Business and need internship credit?

Consider interning with JASA! You'll network with Japanese business leaders, practice Japanese with local speakers, and gain hands-on experience in event coordination, social media marketing, and more. We’ve hosted interns from various universities across central Alabama.

Intern responsibilities vary daily and seasonally based on our events. You'll have opportunities to work in social media marketing, writing, economic development research, and event planning.

For questions or to apply, email us at officemanager@jasaweb.org.

"Interning for JASA allowed me so many opportunities to experience new things and grow skills in areas I’d never thought to develop before. It was a great experience, and I loved learning about the ties between my home state and Japan as well as seeing how many those in the community have a shared interest in the country. " - Hope

"I had a wonderful time interning with JASA! It really broadened my perspective of the cultural side of Birmingham. I gained so much from this experience and I'm glad I had the chance to be a part of this community of so many amazing people. " - Shandea

"My time with JASA gave me a great understanding of Japan, but  even more so than that, I feel like I gained an even greater understanding of Alabama, the customs and communities that make the state what it is." - Michael
